Attention Faculty & Staff - University Directory Update – Your Action Required!
In the next several days all employees of Delta State will be receiving a directory questionnaire that will contain your information as it will be published in the online and campus phone directories. These directory services reflect the information that is contained in the Banner system. In order to ensure this data is accurate, it is critical that you complete the questionnaire and return it to the OIT Telecommunications group. From there, the directory project team will work to ensure your data is updated based on your preferences. Failure to return the information will result in directory information being inaccurate for the upcoming publications. We encourage you to complete the document as quickly as possible so that all changes may be incorporated into the Banner system and be reflected accurately in the fall directory.
We need your Help! University File Storage Reaching Full Capacity
Delta State has a limited capacity of computers and network systems and must manage those resources according to the DSU Usage Policy . At present, the University has limited resources for centralized storage capacity for faculty and staff. The current system is designed to serve as a centralized storage location for critical business information. Stored media files such as music, video, and image files use an enormous amount of storage space that could be better utilized. Although formal quotas have not yet been implemented they will soon become a necessity. As we are quickly reaching maximum capacity, we need your help to ensure this critical resource remains available to all faculty and staff. If you have non-critical files that can be removed from this storage resource, please remove them as soon as possible. If you need assistance in performing this task, please contact the Help Desk.
