- Bogus Email Circulating on Campus: DO NOT
RESPOND
You may have received a message in your University
email that appears to come from
helpdesk@deltastate.edu. THIS MESSAGE IS NOT
LEGITIMATE!!!
The message IS NOT being sent from OIT. Several
employees have reported receiving this email and
rest assured OIT would not solicit this type of
information via email. Please do not respond to the
email and never provide anyone your login/password
for any reason.
If you have responded to this email, you need to
take immediate action and change your network
password.
Even if you did not respond to the email, you can
always change your password via either of these
methods and we strongly encourage you to do so on a
regular basis.
To change your Active Directory/ Network/Email
password:
Option 1:
While logged into your desktop, press CTRL+ATL+DEL
and the Windows Security Screen will appears.
Select the “Change Password” option on the left side
of the second row and you will be prompted to change
your password.
Option 2:
If you are off-campus and need to change your email,
please go to the link below and you will be able to
reset it while off-campus. Any changes you make
here will be reflected when you return to campus as
well.

We have blocked this sender on the firewall however,
other malicious individuals may try something
similar in the future. Never respond to this type
of email.
Again, please DO NOT respond to this message.
The best course of action is to delete the
message from your inbox immediately.
