DMI Entertainment Industry Scholarships
The Delta Music Institute recognizes students through its scholarship and awards programs. In addition to general university scholarships a number of scholarships are offered specifically to students who are pursuing an entertainment industry stuides degree (BS-EIS). Some DMI scholarships have specific additonal requirements described below. Most of these scholarships are offered every year, but some are not. The dollar value of each award also varies somewhat from year to year. Eligible students must be enrolled full-time at DSU and be a declared Entertainment Industry Studies (BS-EIS) major with an overall GPA of 3.0 or above. Scholarships and awards are available for undergraduate study up to the completion of 124 earned hours. In the event that a recipient’s overall GPA falls below the scholarhip requirements, the scholarship will be revoked and the former recipient will be responsible for any and all fees incurred as a result of the revocation. Dismissal from the University for any reason will result in forfeiture of all scholarships and awards. In-State residents are required to complete the Mississippi Office of Financial Aid application. All scholarship applications are reviewed by the DMI scholarship committee. Applicants are notifed of their award status by the start of the fall semester for March 1st applications and within two weeks for all other applications.
