John C CoxYou might say that the entire town "bleeds Green and White."

Words cannot describe the beautiful love affair between Delta State and the Cleveland community. Whether it be enjoying a performance at the Bologna Performing Arts Center or spending a relaxing afternoon at Ferriss Field cheering on our incredible Diamond Statesmen, the citizens of Cleveland are afforded so many wonderful opportunities because of our University, and the Delta State family returns the favor by becoming active members of the local community. You might say that the entire town "bleeds Green and White."

As a native son of Cleveland, many people questioned why I chose to "stay home" for college. Well, after my time at Delta State, I can honestly say that I have found another "home" within my home. I always look forward to any chance to come back to my second home, and I continue to be as involved as I can be with the University. I wouldn’t trade my time at Delta State for anything in the world, and friends from other universities often marvel at my closeness with not only my former classmates, but my former professors as well. Delta State allowed me to find myself, both socially and academically, and I am forever in her debt.
