American Choral Director’s Association

Founded in 1959, the American Choral Director’s Association is a non-profit music education association whose central purpose is to promote excellence in choral music through performance, composition, publication, research and teaching. Additionally, ACDA strives through its arts advocacy to elevate choral music’s position is American society.

Mu Phi Epsilon

mpepsilonMu Phi Epsilon is an international professional music fraternity, open to men and women. Its mission is to encourage service to school and community; promote high scholarship, musicianship, and friendship through service; and to provide opportunities for strong artistic and personal abilities.

National Association for Music Education

The National Association for Music Education (NAfME) addresses all aspects of music education. NAfME’s activities and resources support music education as a profession,  the promotion and guidance of music study as an integral part of the school curriculum, and the development of the National Standards for Arts Education.

Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia

Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia of America was founded in 1898 at the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston, Massachusetts. Since Sinfonia became a national fraternity is 1900 it has become the largest music fraternity in the world with more than 140,000 initiates and chapters on nearly 200 college and university campuses across the nation. Pi Kappa Lambda

The Society of Pi Kappa Lambda, founded at Northwestern University in 1916, is dedicated to furthering music in education and education in music at schools, colleges, and universities that offer music degree programs. The Zeta Rho Chapter at Delta State University initiates those students who distinguish themselves in the department each year at a special ceremony.
