What is the ACCUPLACER test?

Who takes the test?

The test provides useful information about academic skills in Math, English, and Reading. Academic advisors and admissions counselors use the test results, along with transcripts, goals, and interests, to determine college course selection and placement.

Student performance on the ACCUPLACER will be evaluated in conjunction with the other assessments of the student’s academic readiness for university instruction.

Students may need to take the ACCUPLACER test if:

  • high school senior applying for fall term
  • grade point average on the College Preparatory Curriculum is below required level
  • composite ACT score does not reach the required level
Need to Know Info
