UPDATE #11: Coronavirus Update from President LaForge – May 15, 2020

I hope you are continuing to stay safe and healthy, adhering to social distancing protocols and more stringent hygiene practices to combat the spread of the virus, and managing to have some semblance of normal daily life in the midst of this crisis.

Executive Order #1484, which was issued yesterday, directs state agencies to begin the process of returning employees to work. The Vice Presidents and I have been working for the last few weeks on a plan to prepare the campus for your return. To ensure that we have the proper safeguards and protocols in place for your safety and well-being, we will resume operations on Tuesday, May 26. I will send another Campus Update by the end of next week that details the guidelines for returning to work.

Thank you for your perseverance during this challenging time, and for your patience and understanding as we work to keep our Delta State family and our campus safe and virus-free.
